1. Event Overview
This is not a classroom-based internship.
This is a hands-on, field-based learning program where participants work directly with soil, plants, and ecosystems.
The Regenerative Farming Internship at Kilukka Farms is a one-week immersive program focused on building real-world skills in food forest creation, Miyawaki micro-forests, soil regeneration, and ecological land design.
Participants will learn by actively working on-site, guided by experienced practitioners who design, build, and maintain regenerative landscapes.
2. Learning Objectives
By the end of the internship, participants will be able to:
- Understand land assessment and soil health principles
- Design and implement food forests and Miyawaki micro-forests
- Practice plant propagation and nursery techniques
- Apply composting and organic soil regeneration methods
- Implement basic water management and irrigation concepts
