Announcing Our - 1 Day

Kids Nature And Art Camp

August 16, 2026
kilukka Farms

The camp is designed to help children slow down and connect with the natural world through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Instead of simply making art, they will first discover nature, then carefully observe it, and finally transform their observations into unique handmade artworks.

CAMP SCHEDULE

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Registration & Welcome

Children arrive, register, and are warmly welcomed by the facilitators. The session includes a brief introduction to the day’s activities, camp guidelines, and an icebreaker.

10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Activity 1 – Nature Treasure Hunt & Team Land Art

Children are divided into small groups and explore different areas of the farm, collecting naturally fallen materials such as leaves, twigs, seeds, flowers, grass, stones, and bark. After the exploration, each team receives a reference image and recreates it using only the natural materials they have collected. This collaborative activity encourages creativity, observation, teamwork, and an appreciation for nature’s colours and textures.

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Activity 2 – Nature Study

Each child receives drawing paper, pencils, crayons, and oil pastels. Children spread across the farm to quietly observe a plant, flower, tree, fruit, leaf, or any natural object that captures their attention. They study its shapes, colours, patterns, and textures before creating an observational drawing. The focus is not on perfection but on learning to observe patiently, notice details, and express what they truly see.

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Lunch Break

2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Game time

Fun outdoor games that promote teamwork, movement, and joyful interaction with the natural environment.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Activity 3 – Handmade Paper Pulp Art

Children revisit the observational drawing they created earlier. Using coloured handmade paper pulp made from recycled paper, they recreate their artwork as a textured relief piece. This session introduces children to sustainable art practices while allowing them to experience a unique artistic medium. The finished artworks will be dried and later handed over to each child after completion.

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Mud Bath Experience

A fun and supervised mud play session where children can freely engage with nature through sensory play, encouraging confidence, exploration, and joyful outdoor experiences.

5:00 PM
Closing Ceremony

The camp concludes with a short reflection, group photograph, and closing remarks, celebrating a day of learning, creativity, and connection with nature.
